Hello guys! Last night I was at the Museum of the Twentieth Century in Milan. It's located in a wonderful building, unexpectedly very large and very beautiful view of Piazza Duomo! It is interesting to learn about the art that dominated during the last century, besides the fact that it is much closer and more real than we think! It starts from the Fourth Estate of Pellizza da Volpedo then move on Cubist art and dynamism... Then avant-garde, futuristic, conceptual art, cuts of Fontana, kinetics and design... Perhaps it would contain also something significant of the last two decades 1980-1999. This is just my opinion. What do you think? INFORMATION: Free entrance until the 14th of April 2013. Until the 8th of September 2013 there is an exhibition dedicated to one of the international icons of post-war, Andy Warhol. Starting from the famous series of prints like Campbell's Soup, Flowers, Sunset, up to Grapes, Space fruits. "My philosophy is: make a picture a day," said Warhol. In the eighties, he was oriented mainly to portraiture. In the museum we can admire portraitures of famous peolpe, from Muhammad Ali to Marilyn Monroe. At the end of the visit I could tell you that I loved the futurists, Morandi and though most of the works in their diversity. It is worth to visit this museum at least once in the lifetime :)
E' una meravigliosa struttura, inaspettatamente molto grande e molto bella la vista su piazza duomo!
E' interessante conoscere l'arte che ha dominato durante il secolo scorso, oltre al fatto che è molto più vicina e reale di quanto si pensi!
Si inizia dal Quarto Stato di Pellizza da Volpedo per poi passare all'arte cubista e il dinamismo... Poi avanguardia, futurismo, arte concettuale, i tagli di Fontana, la cinetica e il design.
Forse ci vorrebbe anche qualcosa di significativo dell'ultimo ventennio 1980-1999. E' solamente una mia opinione. Voi che ne pensate?

Fino all'8 settembre 2013 c'è una mostra dedicata a una delle icone internazionali dell’arte del dopoguerra, Andy Warhol. A partire dalle celebri serie di stampe come Campbell’s Soup, Flowers, Sunset, fino a Grapes, Space fruits. “La mia filosofia è: fare un quadro al giorno” affermava Warhol. Negli anni ottanta si orienta soprattutto alla ritrattistica. Le opere esposte al museo vanno da Muhammad Alì a Marilyn Monroe.
Alla fine della visita potrei dire che i futuristi, Morandi e comunque la maggior parte delle opere mi hanno molto interessato nella loro diversità. Vale la pena di visitarlo almeno una volta nella vita :)
